Ivanka Trump will attend a women’s economic summit in Berlin next month, Associated Press reported on Sunday quoting a White House official. According to the unnamed official, German Chancellor Angela Merkel invited the daughter of U.S. President Donald Trump during her visit to the White House earlier this month.
Ms. Trump will attend the W20 summit, a three-day conference on women in the global economy due to take place within the G20 summit in Berlin late April. W20 stands for Women 20.
The “First Daughter” confirmed the report on Twitter late on Sunday. “Looking forward to promoting the role of women in the economy and the future of our workforce globally #W20,” she wrote.

It is still unclear what else Ms. Trump will do while in Berlin. Despite not having an official role in the Trump administration, the president’s daughter is an influential member of the White House team. During Ms. Merkel’s visit, she discussed Germany’s vocational training program with members of the German delegation and training opportunities are expected to be one of the topics of Ms. Trump’s planned trip to Berlin.
