Organic products are growing in popularity across Europe. Germans spent an average of €116 on "Bio" foods in 2016, placing them fifth out of 10 EU countries and winning first place in overall sales.

Agriculture Minister Julia Klöckner is against a sugar tax on food and drinks, saying it would not guarantee getting malnutrition under control. Germany is considering it after the UK announced a tax on sugary drinks this month. Source:
