Chancellor Angela Merkel paid a visit to the defending World Cup champions at their training camp in Austria and wished trainer Joachim Löw lots of luck ahead of the games in Russia. For the third straight match at the French Open, the 21-year-old German tennis pro found himself down two sets to one, and for the third straight match, he won, beating the Russian Karen Khachanov to enter his first career Grand Slam quarterfinal. Mr. Sverev became only the second top-two seed in the Open era to win three straight five-set matches in one Grand Slam. Source:
