A week after his visit to Washington, Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel has called on Germany and Europe to consider a new policy for dealing with the US. The “assumptions we have about the protective role of America, despite occasional discord, is beginning to crumble,” the minister told a forum on Friday.
