When Harald Wohlfahrt stepped down after 30 years as chef of the three-Michelin-starred Schwarzwaldstube in 2016, there were jitters about sous chef Torsten Michel filling his shoes. But Mr. Michel (pictured) has more than proven himself and this week Michelin again bestowed three stars on the establishment. The biggest change for the new boss? "Talking to guests," he said. To coincide with Chancellor Angela Merkel's speech at the UN Climate Summit in Bonn on Wednesday, the environmental organization Germanwatch analyzed the environmental efforts of the world's 56 biggest CO2 producers. The group started the ranking at the fourth spot, saying there was no top three doing enough to fight harmful emissions and energy consumption. Ouch.
