Dancer and choreographer Boris Charmitz led a group of visitors to the all-day "Fous de danse" project at Berlin's Tempelhofer Feld park on Sunday. Closed to air traffic since 2008, the old runways and hangars of the historic airport are a popular venue for special events.

Alice Weidel, candidate for the far-right AfD party in upcoming national elections, is under fire for allegedly making racist remarks. According to the Welt am Sonntag newspaper, in a 2013 message Ms. Weidel called Germany's leaders "swine" who were destroying society with a tide of "cultural aliens." The AfD dismissed the email as a "fake."
