Peter Köhler covers banks, private equity and venture capital firms and corporate financing. He began working at Handelsblatt in 1996, where he experienced the early stages of the first Internet editorial team. He was part of a team of four editors, working on "Handelsblatt Interaktiv" in a set of small rooms located above a supermarket. He later moved to Frankfurt, where he was a finance correspondent and head of Handelsblatt’s banking team. He has studied economics at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt and completed a traineeship at the financial press agency VWD in Eschborn. He has spent nine years working for the news agency in Germany and abroad.
