Martin-Werner Buchenau has been a correspondent for Handelsblatt since 1997, when he began touring through a variety of German cities. He is currently based in Stuttgart and covers the diverse economy of Baden-Württemberg, as well as political topics concering the EnBW deal. Mr. Buchenau majored in political economics from the university of Freiburg and attended the Holtzbrinck School of Journalism. He was previously an editor at Handelsblatt's companies and markets desk. Together with two other Handelsblatt colleagues, he won a prize for critical reporting in 2012.
